Electric Guitar & Vocals
Garry Farrington started developing a God given talent for music at the early age of 10 years old. He continued his interest of music during his childhood and on into his teens. His passion and love of music continues on just as strong today as it did 49 years ago.
He was born and reared in North Wilkesboro, NC, which is located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He lived in North Wilkesboro until 1990 when he moved to Winston-Salem, NC. On March 17, 1991, he married his fiancée, Glenda. He is currently employed at Wake Forest Baptist Health, and has been there for 24 years.
Garry has extensive musical experience, having played in various country bands in addition to various southern gospel bands.
My Lord and Savior has blessed me with the talent to be able to play many instruments such as electric lead guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, dobro, saxophone, steel guitar, banjo, as well as a few other instruments.
Garry also has talent as a quality vocalist.
Garry's performances include such famous country artists as “Doc” Watson and Tommy Faille. He also performed regularly at Tweetsie Railroad theme park in Boone, NC. His love of music has taken him to perform from coast to coast and his performances are no stranger to radio and television, having performed on the Arthur Smith show in years past. His talent also extends to performances with famous southern gospel artists such as The Greene’s, The Whisnant’s, Down East Boys, Karen Peck and New River.
When he’s not playing music, he enjoys time with my wonderful wife, Glenda who now shares Garry's love of music. Glenda and Garry both enjoy taking trips when they can, with their precious little toy poodle, “Rascal.”
Glenda and Garry are both Christians that love and follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They are members of Friedberg Moravian Church and participate in many church sponsored activities.
